Prof. Jianjun Ren

Research Area: the theory and method of industrial design, regional design and service design.
He served as a visiting scholar in Chiba University Nishi-Chiba Campus in May 2004 and in Case Western Reserve University from October 2015 to October 2016.
Honored as National Model Teachers, Ren, a famous teacher in Henan Province, served as Secretary General of Henan Industrial Design Association. He has published over 20 papers, presided over provincial research topics and passed the appraisal successfully. Not only have Professor Ren won many design awards above the provincial level, but also the students he instructed have won awards in internationally renowned design competitions such as IF, Red-dot, CDN, etc. As for research direction, he has long conducted research on the theory and method of industrial design, regional design and service design. Given his academic influence, he is designated as the National Final Judging Committee of China University Student Industrial Design Competition, and the Jury of the Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project of the Publicity Department of Henan Provincial Party Committee. Besides, he is also an evaluation expert of Henan Industrial Design Center and an evaluation expert of senior professional title of Henan Province Arts and Crafts.
Prof. Zhenya Wang

Research Area: theory and method of industrial design, human-computer interaction design, and perceptual engineering.
He served as a visiting scholar in University of California, San Diego from 2008 to 2009. Famous for his teaching, Wang is selected as "My Favorite Teacher" of Shandong University. Besides, he presides over three courses at the national level, among which “Everyone Loves Designing” and “Design a Creative Life” were selected as national-level online quality courses in 2017 and 2018 respectively, while “History of Industrial Design” was selected as national first-class courses combining online and offline modes. In addition, Professor Wang has won the National Teaching Achievement Award and three Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards.
Prof. Xiaojian Liu

Born in 1972, from Qingdao, Shandong Province, professor, working in the Industrial Design Research Institute of Zhejiang University of Technology; bachelor and master of China University of Mining and Technology, Ph.D. of Northwestern Polytechnical University, post-doctorate of Zhejiang University, visiting scholar of Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) School of Design; visiting scholar of China Academy of Art Professor; Master instructor of design and computer; chairman of the grassroots branch of Zhejiang University of Technology of China Civil Construction; selected into the third echelon of "New Century 151 Talent Project" in Zhejiang Province; training object for young and middle-aged academic leaders in Zhejiang colleges and universities; technical innovation in industrial design in Zhejiang Province Director of Service Platform Technology, Director of Basic Research Department of Hangzhou Industrial Design Innovation Service Platform.
The main research direction is design theory and design technology, and the research objects involve products, software, machinery, CMF, graphic art, design methods, design management, intangible cultural heritage, etc. Presided over 2 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 national torch plan, 1 project of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, 1 project of the Ministry of Education, and several provincial-level projects. Published 1 monograph and several academic papers; served as a reviewer for academic journals such as "Computer Integrated Manufacturing System", "Color Research and Application", "Mechanical Design", "Journal of Graphics", "Packaging Engineering" and other academic journals.
